Mourning the victims of abortion

11 January 2005

Mourning tsunami victims compared with mourning the victims of abortion

At the present rate of abortions, every 8.6 years the New Zealand government both approves the death of and funds the killing of 156,000 innocent New Zealand children. If abortions cost $1000 each (a conservative estimate), the costs every 8 years would amount to $156,000,000 or $46,000,000 more than the government is sending to the Asian countries affected by the Tsunami.

In addition Helen Clark has announced a minute of mourning to take place on Sunday for the deaths suffered in the tragic earthquake and its after-effects. The government does not even allow 1 second of silence to mourn for the innocent New Zealanders killed while in their mother’s womb, a place where they should be protected and feel most safe. Few people realise that the law allows the killing of the unborn to take place up to full term if the mother’s mental state warrants it.

What a terrible and awful tragedy, and what callous hypocrisy is being shown by Helen Clark and her government who are making much of their compassion and concern for the deaths of those who are killed in a natural disaster but not shedding one tear for the poor New Zealand children who are killed before they see the light of day. It is about time New Zealanders demanded that the killing of the innocent stop, and a political leadership was raised up to institute a culture of life and not a culture of death. While a Tsunami and the death of 156,000 victims is likely to take place every 200 years, in the same time New Zealand governments wilfully send approximately 3,630,000 unborn New Zealand children to their deaths in state-funded human abattoirs called hospitals or clinics.

The cost would amount to $3,630,000,000 (three billion, six hundred and thirty million) without even taking the cost of inflation into account. Were there no abortions to take place over the next thirty years, there would be over half a million more New Zealanders with the economic growth the extra numbers would entail, and we would have an extra five hundred million dollars ($500,000,000) to help in the event of another natural disaster taking place in the world.
