Easter’s sweeter without Politicians & Colleagues!

Survey Reveals: Easter’s sweeter without Politicians and Work Colleagues!

Kiwis prefer to hang out with partners, family and celebrities…

Auckland – 31 March 2004, Wotif.com ( www.wotif.com ) New Zealand’s leading last-minute accommodation website revealed the results of their Easter poll: 27% of Kiwis can’t stand the thought of spending the four day break with politicians and worldwide political leaders, who ranked no. 1 on the list of people New Zealanders least want to spend Easter with.

Interesting candidates such as Helen Clark and Don Brash repeatedly topped this category with George Bush taking the lead.

Work colleagues and employers (14%) secured second place on the scale of undesirables to spend the long weekend with. Wotif.com’s survey further revealed a strong need for many to avoid whingers, annoying people and Australian rugby players during their time off.

Partners, Families & Celebrities Get Thumbs Up

Of the 600 travellers surveyed, 52% confirmed spending quality time with partners was the way to go, followed by 20% who chose family.

Having a sexy star by ones side during Easter swooped up third place and included celebs such as, Johnny Depp, David Beckham, Meg Ryan and Kylie Minogue, to name but a few on the wish-list.
