The Israeli aggression, air raids and incursion in the Palestinian cities

Jenin: Israeli F-16 shelled headquarters of President Arafat in Jenin, the Governorate and Police Directorate. Several Palestinian homes, which locate near the bombarded targets, were also damaged in the air strike.

Israeli army also brought more military reinforcements to areas under PNA sovereignty and to the surroundings of Jenin District. Transport of Palestinians from and to the city is completely prohibited by the Israeli army.

Tulkarem: High tension prevails in Tulkarem due to the firm siege on Tulkarem district. Last night, Israeli army re-occupied Iktaba village, which is under PNA control. Israeli army also occupied Shafiq Milhem's building, which was converted into a military camp. Israeli tanks are still besieging the city from all parts. In Tulkarem, Israeli troops raided Palestinian houses in Shweikeh neighborhood and conducted thorough search and arrested several Palestinians.

Early this morning, Israeli occupation army raided Atil village, north Tulkarem and arrested one Palestinian. The military continues to impose a curfew on Baqa al-Sharqiya, north Tulkarem for the fifth consecutive day.

Gaza: Israeli occupation forces escalated its aggression against the Palestinian people in Gaza districts. Shelling, incursion and destruction, which last till the early hours of this morning, have been subjected to the Gaza Strip. Israeli tanks invaded more than three kilometers of Palestinian lands in Rafah. Israeli tanks and bulldozers surrounded Gaza International Airport. Israeli military bulldozed several parts of the airport.

In Beit Lahya to the northern part of Gaza, Israeli occupation forces invaded two kilometers of Palestinian lands and blocked the main road intersections. Israeli army also isolated between the northern and southern districts of Gaza Strip. Israeli shelling also targeted the Bedouin village of Malalha.

Israeli gunships and boats shelled Palestinian civil installations. Two homes belonging to Abu Amra family were demolished in the shelling and three of President Arafat planes were destroyed in addition to residencies of his guards. Also, the storehouse of plane fuels was also destroyed. Twenty Palestinians were injured including members of Presidency Guards and members of fire Brigades.

PNA holds Israel responsible for this dangerous escalation and meanwhile calls for US and international community intervention to put an end for Israeli aggression and war.

Minister of Finance Muhammad Zuhdi al-Nashashibi stressed that the region and the world will not enjoy peace or stability in absence of ending Israeli occupation and the restoration of Palestinian people's rights. "The entire world should realize that whatever Sharon attempts to destroy morality of this people, he would not be able to do so. If only one person remain of this people, he will continue with struggle until liberating the land. Sharon should know that occupiers will be defeated if God wish," al-Nashashibi said.

Commenting on the US statement that Israel pertains the right to defend itself, the Minister wonders "does Israel has the right to defend itself by destroying Gaza, is this a legitimate right." He added, US should awake to realize that stability in the region could only be achieved after restoring Palestinian rights in Palestine. Israeli war jets continue to hover over Gaza Strip till the early hours of this morning.

Nablus: Nablus District lives a state of tension because of the intensive Israeli military reinforcements around Nablus. Early this morning, Amjad Abdel Rahim Abdel Razeq al-Toubasi, 24, was announced dead after being shot in the head near Til Road near a military post of the Palestinian Navy. Three other Palestinians were injured by Israeli shooting. Israeli tanks invaded some areas from the western and southern parts of the District.

Dozens of Israeli tanks are deployed around the District while Israeli war plans are hovering over the District. Yesterday, Israeli troops shelled Palestinian populated areas in the two villages of Zawatah and Deir Sharaf. Israeli military also isolated Nablus from its surrounding villages and outside world.

Bethlehem: Ra'fat Bajali, 25, of Bethlehem city died of sustained injuries. He was injured in a mysterious explosion in a four floors building in Bethlehem. His funeral will take place this noon in Bethlehem.

Israeli troops tightened its closure on Bethlehem District and isolated all of its cities and villages.

Ramallah: Early this morning, Israeli occupation forces occupied Bitounia town in the Ramallah District. Israeli tanks also invaded the areas of Balou' and Best Eastern. Israeli troops re-occupied areas of al-Jawal, Mahajrah and al-Irsal Street. Throughout the night and till the early hours of this morning, Israeli war planes hover over Ramallah, al-Bireh and Bitounia.
