Trust The Claims Of A Massacre? Think Again……

Many people nowadays are getting very upset about the terrible massacre and the cold-blooded genocide the Israelis have been committing in Jenin. But not many people know the actual facts, and a history which speaks for itself.

But of course you have every right to doubt this until I have presented my information, so let’s assume that the massacre the Palestinians claim did take place and that the Israelis are indeed intent on eliminating as many innocent Palestinians as possible! These are serious accusations as the international media is directly referring to Nazi-Germany. But the truth is never quite that simple, let us not believe naively and blindly what the media is telling us.

So I ask the following: Would the Palestinians be capable of lying about atrocities such as these and have they ever done so?

Palestinians are claiming that 500 people were killed in Jenin, the Israeli army says it has killed only 100-150 people of which at least 90% were gunmen, and after all only 49 bodies have been discovered in Jenin up to this day. While the Paletinians cry about horrifying acts of murder and shout for revenge, Israelis are vehemently denying a massacre ever happened, Dr. Zangen, a doctor of the brigade that fought in Jenin, and treated many of the wounded stated recently in an interview “The soldiers fought without harming civilians. This was noticeable in every place and on every level. I was moved by the sight of soldiers conducting themselves in such a dignified and moral manner.(…) I was impressed by the great care exercised by the IDF in avoiding civilian casualties – especially with regard to children …”

As we are constantly being confronted by two completely different statements I would like to approach the problem from a slightly different angle, by having a closer look at history.

History reveals many interesting things, such as the fact that this is not the first time Israel is being accused by the Palestinians of having committed hideous war crimes and atrocities. Indeed, false charges of Israeli atrocities and instigation from the Muslim clergy in the mosques played an important role in starting the first Intifada (1987-1993).

In Gaza, rumors circulated that Palestinian youths wounded by Israeli soldiers were being taken to an army hospital near Tel Aviv and "finished off." Another rumor claimed, Israeli troops poisoned a water reservoir in Khan Yunis. A UN official firmly denied these stories saying they were untrue. Only the most seriously injured Palestinians were taken out of the Gaza Strip for treatment, and, in some cases, this probably saved their lives. The water was also tested and found to be uncontaminated.

This was not the end of Palestinian lies though, as about twenty months ago they accused the Israelis of another disgusting crime, which shook the world. They claimed Israeli planes had been flying over the occupied territories, throwing poisoned chocolate to the streets thereby trying to poison innocent Palestinian children. Again the UN condemned Israel before actually checking the facts but had to admit after an investigation that those rumours had been false and the Israelis yet again innocent.

But of course one is still entitled to a little bit of doubt, after all the Palestinians haven’t been lying recently. In fact they have and the international media has been conveniently omitting this fact…after all they might be blamed for bad or biased research and for spreading lies!

These are two of the most recent lies which have seemed to slip most minds:
• Jibril Rajoub (March 30, on MAHAD TV, a local television station in Ramallah) accused Israel of carrying out a "massacre," executing 30 Palestinians in Ramallah. The announcement was also broadcast on Al Jazeera and other stations.

The reality, of course, is different: in battles which took place on that day in Ramallah, 9 Palestinians were killed - all of them armed.

• Palestinian television reported on April 2, on the basis of an official announcement by the Palestinian leadership, that a priest named Jacques Amathis had been killed and dozens of monks wounded in an IDF action in Bethlehem. The announcement was published prominently in the Italian and French media and prompted a storm of protest.

The following day the 'late" priest was interviewed by the MINSA agency and confirmed that he and the monks in the monastery were safe and well.

The Palestinians have also recently been found to have lied about many other cases including: The Israeli’s storming Arafat’s compound (numerous times), soldiers entering Arafat’s chamber and threatening him (almost daily), mosques and churches being burnt to the ground (on at least five different occasions) and that there were no terrorists in various locations including Jibril Rajoub’s security headquarters (many senior members of Hamas were found there).

But not only do they lie, they blame the Israeli’s for attacks they themselves carried out. In an interview with Abu Dhabi television on March 29th, Arafat claimed that “they (the Israeli’s) attacked and killed in the Hebron area three members of the international (UN) force; two from Turkey and one of the nurses from Switzerland.” In fact, in the incident in question one of the Turkish members of the force was rescued by the Israeli’s and he said that the attack was carried out by a UNIFORMED Palestinian.

A quick look into recent history proves that the Palestinians are very capable of lying and have done so on a number of occasions. They have been believed by trusting and misinformed people who are suffering from the very noble sentiment of always wanting to support the underdog. It is obvious though that if the Palestinians were to tell the world the real truth of what is going on here their number of supporters and helpers would decrease rapidly and their façade of being the poor victim and discriminated underdog would crumble to dust.

It would reveal a leadership whose sole purpose is the destruction of the Jewish State of Israel (as has been proven by many of their leaders recent and older statements). It would reveal a gang of murderers who use the cover of ‘resistance to the Occupation’ to carry out major pre-meditated terrorist attacks against civilians. Is shooting a five year old girl, asleep in her own bed, resistance to occupation? To my mind this is cold blooded murder of the worst sort….
