Two children shot , Soldiers to search hospital

Urgent, 1 child killed , Soldiers to search hospital - Jenin

Jenin,Occupied West Bank, At 3:00PM on Monday March 24, A 15 year old child was shot in the head and killed by Israeli forces while imposing curfew in the city of Jenin. His name was "Ahmed Imad Abu Jelhad". Another child was shot in the leg and is recovering at Martyr Doctor Khalid Suliman hospital in Jenin. Israeli forces have threatened to search the hospital for other children they claim have entered the hospital and who were not hurt. There are 5 internationals at the hospital from the International Solidarity Movement.

According to Lasse, a member of ISM from Denmark "Tanks, jeeps, and APc's have been patroling the area since yesterday. Today, there were many youngsters breaking curfew and throwing rocks at the tanks and APC's. At about 3:00 PM, one of the soldiers shot a child in the leg. At that time, members if the ISM accompanied him to the Martyr Doctor Khalid Suliman hospital. As soon as the members of ISM were gone from the area, the Israeli soldiers shot in the head and killed Ahmed".

Shortly thereafter, Soldiers came to the hospital and demanded to see the director. They informed the director at that time that they would return in 1 hour to search the hospitl. There are currently three members of ISM at the hospital with the injured child. At any time now they are expecting the soldiers to come back to search the hospital, in direct violation of the Geneva Conventions. There are currently 3 members of the ISM at the hospital trying to protect and observe it. Four are from Sweden, and one is from Denmark
