Tamil MP Speaks Against Sri Lankan Killings

Tamil MP Speaks Against Sri Lankan Killings

"The Sri Lankan state and military are using armed groups to divide and rule Tamil society in Batticaloa. They did it in the past. My people will never fall prey to the machinations of divisive forces because they have made immense sacrifices for the Tamil cause", said Mr. Senathirajah Jeyanandamoorthy, Tamil National Alliance MP for Batticaloa, speaking at a press conference by TNA regarding the current situation in the east.

"I spoke against the killings in Batticaloa, against the involvement of the military intelligence in backing the killers. Last night Police raided the house in which I was staying in Colombo. This is intimidation", the MP said.

The other TNA MPs from the Batticaloa and Amparai districts asserted that they will take forward the Tamil national mandate given by their people at the last general elections. Ms. Thangeswari Kathiraman, TNA MP for Batticaloa, said she worked at the grass roots level to clarify the political situation and to address development issues affecting the backwaters of my district. "There are reports in the press that the Tigers are occupying Trincomalee. There is nothing to occupy in Trincomalee because it is part of our homeland", said Mr. Eelaventhan, TNA national list MP.

"No one can divide and rule our people. Tamils will pay any price to defeat divisive forces. We strongly suspect that the Sri Lanka military intelligence was behind the recent killings in east. The bogey of regionalism has been raised from time to time to divide the Tamil people. But there is no history that it ever won", Mr. Selvam Adaikalanathan, TNA MP for Vanni. "I am a person from Batticaloa. But the people of the Vanni have elected me as their MP. This shows that our people are swayed by regionalism", said Mr. Sivanathan Kishore, TNA MP for Vanni.

"All the post independence constitutions of Sri Lanka were made without our consent. There have been many attempts in the past to divide Tamil society. In the begining it was said that Thanthai Selva (founder of the Federal Party) was christian. Then they tried to split our soiciety on the caste issue. All these attempts failed. Regionalism too failed to divide Tamil society . We will win if the Sri Lankan state does not give us the Interim Self Governing Authority because then we would establish a separate state. We will win if we get the ISGA. Either way we would win", said Mr. M.K Sivajilingam, TNA MP for Jaffna.

We want to clearly explained tha reality on the matter regarding.

the Tamil nation is struggle for freedom and fighting for to restore its rights. tamils lost over 90 000 civilians and over 15 000 LTTE freedom fighters have sacrifice their life for these achievements.the occupied unjust forces who denied peoples rights are working against Tamil nation interest and they're sponsoring some anti-tamil group as EPDP to act against freedom struggle . These groups don't have any idea what they're doing what its cost.they working against Tamil nation interest and committing tha crimes and creating crises for theirs masters orders to block tha way of peace and freedoms.

Today, groups like EPDP are engaged in the politics of treachery, working against the Tamil nation's interests. These groups have support and ties with sri lanka military occupieation claiming that they intend to carry out 'political activities' . The Sinhala government is exploiting this as a political propaganda weapon against Tamils freedom struggle.

The 'political activities' of these anti-tamil groups include supporting the Sinhala government military forces, which are engaged in a destructive war against the Tamil people; and committing insidious acts amongst the Tamil people. These are the main aims for these groups. It should be noted that government is under pressure as the violations of human rights by her forces within the Tamil home land become exposed. The international community is suspicious of the military administration which is responsible for these human rights violations in tamil home land.

However, the sri lanka government, policy is the military approach, intends to maintain the military administration on Tamils home land. Hence the despatching of these Tamil groups to a sinister ploy to conceal the military administration there with the mask of a civil one. As the next phase of this plan against the Tamil people However, government will fail in this attempt. It is also certain that our people who are silently suffering the military occupation will show their defiance, foil the government's sinister plans and strengthen the Tamil nation.

By craftily stage-managing treacherous theatrics such as a 'political solution' and a 'democratic process', she is very keen to gather international support for her military policy. The treacherous politics are an integral part of that plan. A cunning plan which splits Tamil territory and undermines the Tamil nation's spirit is being touted as a political solution. these groups are supporting Sinhala chauvinism and betraying the Tamil people's political aspirations.

However, sacrificing the Tamil people's national interests for their own personal gain is the norm for these groups. It is the Tamil people's unfortunate experience that group will play this 'traditional unjust role'. This time, during this period of difficulties for the Tamil people, the EPDP and its leader Douglas Devananda and some anti-tamil group have taken the lead in this treacherous role.so tha world have to understand tha reality on the matter regarding .
