As negotiations are continuing on a possible deviation of
Blenheim Road, the Christchurch City Council decided today
to make no statement after a lengthy debate on the
issue.
Councillors spoke first in open meeting for two
hours and then debated further matters in a public-excluded
meeting. Following the closed meeting it was announced that
as negotiations were continuing no statement would be
issued.
