New Community Board Member

Anne McCormack has been appointed to the Burwood-Pegasus Community Board to replace Dave Dobbie, who resigned having moved to Auckland.

Anne McCormack was born and educated in Christchurch and has lived all her life in the eastern suburbs. She is a trained teacher who taught in New Brighton schools before going on to work for the Young Christian Workers as a youth organiser and trainer.

She has a great deal of experience with community groups during her years as a professional social worker and administrator, with particular interest in preventative work with families and children.

At present Ms McCormack is working as a community liaison chaplain with former Templeton Centre residents who are living in the community board area.
