March & Rally Hutt City - City With Heart!

It has been decided to hold a march and rally next Wednesday at noon to mark Lower Hutt City’s concern and support for the two local families affected by this weeks horrific crimes of violence.

The rally is being jointly organised by Councillors Rosemarie Thomas from Wellington Regional Council and Glenda Barratt, Central City Councillor, with the full backing of Acting Mayor Ray Wallace.

Ray Wallace said the residents have been shocked and traumatised by the weekends events and we believe we need to do something tangible to share our City’s grief.”

Glenda Barratt said, ‘as a mother I can’t begin to imagine the feelings that both families and extended families must be experiencing. We feel it is time we need to reclaim our City.”

‘We trust that business will be happy to release their employees to enable them to express their support.” Rosemarie Thomas said today.
