Christchurch City Libraries in top 5 places to work
Christchurch City Libraries was named in the top 5 places to work according to a nationwide survey.
Placed fourth in the medium size workplace (100 – 399 staff) category, and ranked 13th overall, Christchurch City Libraries was selected from 128 other businesses in Unlimited magazines ’20 Best Places to Work’ 2003 annual survey.
“I am thrilled that our Libraries made the top five. The Christchurch City Council puts a lot of emphasis on providing a healthy, happy workplace. We provide on-going support for individual learning initiatives and we have designed an award-winning Leadership Development programme to give staff encouragement and confidence,” says Christchurch City Council Chief Executive, Dr Lesley McTurk.
The survey measured responses from employees in seven areas: the organisation; communication and co-operation; the team; the job; learning and development; recognition and reward; and overall perception.
