Media conference Auckland V8 Supercar street race:

You are cordially invited to a media conference to discuss issues raised by Auckland’s bid to host a street race in the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
The press conference will be conducted linking venues in Adelaide and Auckland. Special guest will be the Premier of South Australia, Hon Mike Wran.

Date: Thursday 18 March 2004
When: 2.45pm for 3pm sharp start New Zealand time (12.30pm Adelaide time)

Who: In Adelaide, Hon Mike Wran, Premier of South Australia; Cr Scott Milne, chairperson, Auckland City Council’s Recreation and Events Committee; Mr Dean Calvert, General Manager, IMG New Zealand; Mr Cameron Parr, group manager, recreation and services, Auckland City.

The first Auckland City benchmark survey of residents’ views on the race bid will also be available at the press conference.
