Matiatia passenger
terminal afloat
It’s all smooth sailing for Waiheke
residents and visitors with the official opening of the
upgraded Matiatia ferry terminal coming up this Saturday 27
March at 10.15am.
The $3 million upgrade of the wharf
precinct provides improved shelter, facilities and comfort
for passengers arriving and departing from Waiheke Island.
The new terminal includes large covered waiting areas,
upgraded ticket office, new public toilets, coastguard room,
first aid room and freight handling facilities.
Auckland
City Mayor, Hon John Banks will officially open the new
passenger terminal.
