“Cross Roads" exhibition set to touch the heart
On average one person is killed every five days on the Auckland region’s roads.
Auckland City is supporting former police sergeant John Robinson’s raw and visual display of roads littered with sad and premature losses symbolised by white crosses beside New Zealand roads.
The national death toll is tragically illustrated in his black and white photographic exhibition titled Cross Roads.
Cross Roads will be showing from 5 – 13 April at the BNZ Foyer, Aotea Centre. Admission is free.
Auckland City’s traffic safety manager Karen Hay said the exhibition depicts a sad reminder and heightens the need for road safety.
“The exhibition vividly shows the need for a regional and national road safety strategy,” she said. “We need to tackle road safety issues together to reduce the risk on Auckland and New Zealand’s roads. “
