Chamber “Delighted” With Bypass Green Light
“We’re
delighted that this sensible and overdue roading solution
for Wellington will now proceed” said Wellington Regional
Chamber of Commerce CEO Philip Lewin this evening.
Mr
Lewin was commenting in response to an announcement by the
Transfund New Zealand Board that Wellington’s inner city
bypass project has been approved for funding.
“The Bypass
will make a real difference for the better in easing
inner-city traffic congestion, and unblocking access to and
from the hospital and airport. Today’s final decision has
been a long time coming. It is a step that Wellington
business in the wider community will warmly welcome” said Mr
Lewin.
