A leaked independent report commissioned by Auckland City Council looking into the survey results surrounding the controversial proposed development to relocate a private sports club onto public land reveals that the Council run surveys had flaws, but overall, the majority of respondents favoured the status quo.
“It’s certainly a surprise to us, but we are grateful to learn that despite our reservations about the surveys carried out by Council, results indicate clearly that those surveyed favoured option one, which is the status quo.” said Eden Epsom Residents Association chair, Christopher Dempsey. “The question now is how Cr. Milne, Cr McKeown and Cr Donnelly will put their own spin on the truth. Instead of manipulating the truth to favour a private sports club, why can’t they simply admit they are wrong?”
