The Wonderful World of John Murchison at the Dowse
10 July to 17 October
John Murchison is a resident of Hutt Valley's Wesley Care, discovering the liberating powers of creativity at the age of 76. John's works of art are created from recycled materials - vegetable and meat trays as well as plastic pill containers and water cups. These objects are mixed with bargains and paints from The Warehouse and $2 Shop.
He is inspired by memories of his childhood in England and the dahlias he grew in his Wainuiomata garden. John embodies for us the power of creativity to change your life. We're thrilled to be able to showcase the creative output that gave John a new voice, as well as bringing delight and inspiration to others.
