Our Eden Is Your Eden

Our Eden Is Your Eden

Corner of KELLY STREET and MT EDEN Road – Site of the old ‘murder house’ or Dental Training School Clinic. A portal to Maungawhau – the sacred and iconic volcano - currently a beacon barely withstanding the onslaught of 1.4 million tourists and visitors per year

FROM 10 am SATURDAY 25 SEPTEMBER . 11 am - A formal ceremony to reclaim this land as a common wealth.

We invite you to our neighbourhood lament for the immanent loss of a potential ‘garden of Eden’

Bring family, refreshments, balloons, blankets, umbrellas, and your own personal presence to add inspiration and numbers to our community stand on behalf of our city and its future well-being

Help us reclaim a small corner of our city, its archaeology, and ancestral history, from the rapacious clutches of greedy developers, corrupt officials of the Crown and council sanctioned wanton destruction of Mt Eden heritage.

Come along and sign our petition to the Minister for Arts Culture and Heritage that Helen through her staff has refused to accept. A chance to mingle with aspiring politicians and put to them the urgent accountability questions on heritage protection, and open space acquisition over the isthmus

Rachel Power President: Mt Eden North Residents’ Association
