Ultimate fashion experience up for grabs

Aucklanders are being offered the chance to win the ultimate Auckland City Fashion Experience in celebration of Air New Zealand Fashion Week 2005.

The grand prize includes a night for two at the Hilton Auckland including cocktails and breakfast, lunch at TriBeCa for the winner and friend with an Air New Zealand Fashion Week designer, and a personal consultation with a fashion and shopping guru.

The winner will also be able to go on a shopping spree and update their wardrobe with $500 vouchers from Yvonne Bennetti, Liz Mitchell, Insidious Fix, Two Double Seven and Widdess. Plus, the winner will receive a L'Oréal beauty hamper valued at $1000, and a Rodney Wayne Downtown hair makeover for two, each valued at $200.

To be eligible for the competition simply buy something from any participating fashion retailer in Newmarket, Ponsonby, Heart of the City, Parnell or K' Rd between 9am Monday 17 October and 5pm Monday 24 October. The competition will be drawn on Wednesday 26 October and the winner notified by phone.

Auckland is the home of Air New Zealand Fashion Week 2005, which runs from 18 to 21 October at the Viaduct Harbour Marine Village. The event exposes and celebrates our unique culture to international media and buyers.

Auckland City acknowledges the economic, creative and dynamic contribution fashion and fashion designers make to Auckland and New Zealand. The council's sponsorship of Air New Zealand Fashion Week is a testament to Auckland City's commitment to supporting the fashion industry and the creative sector.

Auckland City started as a major sponsor of Fashion Week in 2000 and this year has stepped up to become a strategic partner, recognising the growth of the industry and the support the council can provide.

Air New Zealand Fashion Week 2005 is aligned to the theme of "artistic/creative" in the Auckland City events strategy and represents a signature event which brings economic benefit and international profile to the city.
