Get off the grass

Get off the grass

If you're attending any of Auckland City's free events at the Auckland Domain this summer, please remember to keep off the grass.

Auckland City wants people to enjoy the great events on offer, including Music in Parks concerts, the Pumpkin Patch Teddy Bears' Picnic and Skycity Starlight Symphony, but asks that people respect the parking rules and not park on the grass or yellow lines.

"Parking illegally not only causes damage to Auckland's premier recreational reserve, you may be fined or your car may be towed away," says parking services manager, Chris Geerlings.

"Event-goers should plan ahead and aim to use public transport to get to the domain," he says.

For bus and train service information, check out www.maxx.co.nz or phone (09) 366 6400.

If you are planning on driving to an event, look out for parking signs and park your car legally to save yourself a fine. For tips on where to park your car legally, visit www.aucklandcity.govt.nz/parking or phone (09) 379 2020.
