Auckland Player Wins $1.25 Million With Lotto Powerball

A lucky player who purchased their ticket at Pak N Save Lincoln Road in Henderson, Auckland has won Lotto Powerball, says NZ Lotteries Chief Executive Todd McLeay.

The owner of the ticket will collect a total prize of $1.25 million, with $1 million from winning Powerball First Division and $250,000 from also winning Lotto First Division.

"Following on in the footsteps of last weeks $9.5 million Lotto Powerball win, another player has struck the top prize taking home the tidy sum of $1.25 million," says Mr McLeay.

Three other Lotto tickets, purchased at Tauranga Pak N Save, Centre City Home Entertainment in New Plymouth and Pak N Save Upper Hutt have each won Lotto First Division, winning $250,000 each.

Lotto Strike jackpotted tonight, with an estimated Strike Four prize of $200,000 up for grabs on Saturday 2 September

Tonight's other big winner was Auckland Factory Manager Andrew Douglas who spun and won $300,000 live on Lotto's Winning Wheel. Andrew, an avid football fan, was accompanied to Wellington by his partner Claire. The pair were thrilled about their win.

Tonight's Winning Wheel ticket was sold by Beach Plaza Pharmacy in Papamoa. The serial number is 362-10715413-20XX.

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto's Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy. Players can check their ticket at any lottery outlet.
