Rangiora Hospital’s Birthing Unit is
celebrating all the babies born there over the last year,
with an afternoon tea and open day on Thursday 27 September
from 2.30pm until 4pm.
“This is our opportunity to say
thanks to the Lead Maternity Carers and all the mothers who
chose Rangiora for the birth of their baby,” says Rangiora
Hospital’s Charge Midwife, Suzanne Salton.
The open day
is also a chance for mothers-to-be to see what the birthing
unit can offer them. Friends of Rangiora Hospital will be
helping out on the day.
Susanne says “Our unit has
great facilities offering high quality midwifery care and
breastfeeding support. We have a relaxed atmosphere, a
lovely rural setting and good home-cooked food. We also have
a shared dining room which encourages new mothers to meet.
We’ve had many women make life-long friends
here.”
