Auckland City Council elections progress result
The electoral officer for Auckland City Council, Dale Ofsoske announced the progress result of the Auckland City Council elections this afternoon.
Below is the progress result list of mayoral, council and community board candidates.
The mayoral candidates have been advised of the progress result for the mayoral election which places John Banks in first place with 44085 votes, Dick Hubbard in second place with 33786 votes, and Alex Swney in third place with 10169 votes.
Council and community board candidates are able to access their results on Auckland City’s website www.aucklandcity.govt.nz.
Counting checks will continue and a preliminary result will be available on www.aucklandcity.govt.nz at approximately 7pm today. The final official count is expected to be released on Wednesday, 17 October when all votes, including special votes have been processed.
