1 Auckland.com - Local Body Election Results

1 Auckland.com - Local Body Election Results

For all of you who were successful in today's local body election results, 1Auckland.com offers congratulations and trust you will carry out your public duties in the best interests of Auckland City Ratepayers.

To those candidates not successful today, 1Auckland.com acknowledges your contribution and willingness to put yourselves forward for public office. We encourage you to be back for the next election with a stronger resolve to make those differences that you consider important.

We also challenge the community to carefully monitor the performance of those who were successful, make every effort to call them all to account and demand unequivocally that they perform their duties in line with their promises.

1Auckland.com has, at very short notice, achieved a monumental task in establishing and standing a team of high quality team of eighteen candidates across the City. On behalf of the executive of 1Auckland.com I especially congratulate, thank and acknowledge both our candidates and our supporters.

Any political movement has its underlying policies and philosophies to maintain its impetus and certainly. For 1Auckland.com the underlying policies and philosophies are still strong and the message is still as meaningful as it has ever been and will continue to be so. Our party is based around the following principles:

* One Council for the entire Auckland region.

* Public permission to increase rates

* Efficient transport systems

* An enhanced environment and heritage protection

* Service charges to reflect infrastructure costs only

Once again let me thank all of you who supported 1Auckland.com and look forward to your continuing support as we prepare for the next election.

Dick Ayres On behalf of the Executive 1Auckland.com
