Mayor Rick Cooper Helping to Spread the Word

Taupo District Mayor Rick Cooper will be outside Whitcoulls (Horomatangi Street, Taupo) on Monday 9 August from 1pm to approximately 3pm encouraging passers-by and local residents to nominate local voluntary groups and organisations for the TrustPower Taupo District Community Awards.

Mayor Cooper will also be joined by Brendon Weatherley, Breakfast Host of Classic Hits 96.7 Lakeland FM who will be operating and hosting a public announcement system.

Nominations are open until Friday 27 August for the TrustPower Taupo District Community Awards which celebrate and recognise local voluntary groups and organisations.

Nomination forms will be available at the street stand and all media are welcome to visit the street stand. Mayor Rick Cooper and TrustPower Community Relations Representative Suzi Luff will both be available to answer questions about the TrustPower Taupo District Community Awards.
