Boobs on Bikes update 10-Aug-2010

Tomorrow is B-Day, as in Boobs On Bikes Day.


Here is the latest, and hopefully the final update for both Auckland (Wednesday 11th) and Hamilton (Thursday 12th).


Briefing for Boobs on Bikes® Auckland 2010

Date / Time: Wednesday 11th August 2010 @ 12:30pm


Date and Time

Boobs on Bikes®Auckland 2010 is scheduled to happen on Wednesday August 11th 2010. The route will follow the same path as last year, namely starting a Cross Street at 12:30 sharp; proceeding over K'Rd, down Queen Street, right onto Customs Street and left into Britomart Place to finish.

For those of you planning to participate in Boobs on Bikes® Auckland 2010 the following is a brief detailing some important stuff like where to be and when. Please read it carefully and take particular notice of the assembly times for the various types of vehicle that are involved in the parade.

In an effort to try and avoid the congestion of previous years, this year we are scheduling vehicles to arrive at different times with the larger, less maneuverable vehicles arriving first and the bikes last. Please try and stick as close to these times as possible.
Date: Wednesday 11th August 2010.

If it is raining we may postpone until Thursday 12th same time and place. An email will be sent at 09:00 on Wednesday 11th if this happens.
Times: Assembly starts 10:30am at Cross Street
Parade Starts 12:30pm
Parade Ends 2:00pm
Assembly Point Cross Street (between Mercury Lane and Upper Queen Street).

Cross Street will be closed to the public on the morning of the parade and will be coned off. Unauthorised vehicles will be towed away.

The street's flow is being reversed for Boobs on Bikes® and you will ONLY be able to enter it from the Mercury Lane end NOT from Queen Street.


Assembly Times
Tanks and military vehicles 10:30am. Offload at Upper Queen Street immediately south of Cross Street and park at curbside.

Other military vehicles to follow the direction of the Marshalls who will tell you where to park.
Trucks; cars with trailers 11:00am. Please come in from the Mercury Lane end of Cross Street and follow the direction of the Marshalls who will tell you where to park.
Cars 11:30am. Please come in from the Mercury Lane end of Cross Street and follow the direction of the Marshalls who will tell you where to park.
Bikes & Trikes 12:00pm. Please come in from the Mercury Lane end of Cross Street and follow the direction of the Marshalls who will tell you where to park.
Passengers & Other Participants: 12:00pm. Please offload at Upper Queen Street end of Cross Street and follow the direction of the Marshalls who will tell you where to go. A place (Sparty's Nightclub) in Cross Street has been arranged for you to change clothes. It is safe and secure and you will be able to leave your personal items here and come back and change after the parade if you wish to.
End Point: The parade will end at Britomart Place which will have been closed and coned off for the purpose. The tanks, military vehicles and horses will be loaded here. Please stay out of their way to help this go smoothly.
Please TURN OF YOUR ENGINES ONCE PARKED. We need to be able to brief people and we don't want to lose our voices shouting.

Note: Two Erotica staff, Michelle Ruebe and Leanne Osborn have been assigned to match passengers with riders/drivers etc. Unless you are associated with a particular vehicle/driver/rider please follow their instructions.

Legal:This isimportant so please read carefully.

1. All road rules are to be obeyed please; all bike passengers and riders to wear helmets.

2. Passengers in convertible cars cansit up on seat backs while travelling at low speed along the actual parade streets only. Please note this is not strictly legal but provided you are careful and don't do anything stupid or offensive it should be OK and we have never had a participant charged for doing it. We will not be responsible if you do get charged however so be careful.

3. Remember, it is perfectly legal for you all to do this so you shouldhave no problems- the police have historically done a fantastic job helping us with crowd control so please comply with their requests; they are for your safety.

4. Please stay on your bikes, in the cars etc.

5. Very Importantly: Ladies, please DO NOT do anything that can be called deliberately sexually titillating or offensive or you may be (1) warned by the police and then (2) arrested. By this I mean, please do not do things like lick your nipples or jiggle your breasts deliberately and/or provocatively at the public. Please remember this is a public place and the police are there to assist us and maintain public order so please don't do anything deliberately to provoke a reaction. You are free to wave, smile, be photographed, have fun and enjoy yourselves.

6. Drivers/riders *€“ please stay in place in the parade, no overtaking. Obey the police.

7. Please do not encourage public to get into your cars etc.

8. Please DO NOT hand anything out to the public; no brochures, flyers, giveaways. The ONLY exceptions to this are twelve approved Erotica promo girls who will be walking alongside the parade, 6 per side and will be handing out cards promoting the Erotica Lifestyles Expo.

9. And now, for the most serious rules of all.

a) Have fun.

b) Be SAFE.

Briefing for Boobs on Bikes® Hamilton 2010

Date / Time: Thursday 12th August 2010 @ 12:30pm

Boobs on Bikes® Hamilton 2010 is scheduled to happen on Thursday August 12th 2010.

This is Boobs on Bikes® first visit to New Zealand's largest inland city and we are excited at the opportunity to take our show along a new road. The route for the inaugural Boobs on Bikes® Hamilton is as follows:

*• Start on the north side of Knox Street, which will closed for this purpose.

*• Travel east to Victoria Street.

*• Turn left into Victoria Street.

*• Continue all the way along Victoria Street to London Street.

*• Turn left into London Street.

*• End at Firecats where showers and changing rooms will be made available (thanks Tony and Ken) and disband.

Please refer to the map on the last page.
