Vote to protect Hawke's Bay's environment

I would like to invite you to engage in this coming local body election through offering my perspective as an emerging first term councillor and environmentalist.

Being a little shy of blowing my own trumpet, I have asked over 30 supporters from many walks of life share their ideas on why they think I should remain as representative of the Hastings area on the Hawke's Bay Regional Council.

You can view these on my new web page, http://www.lizrem.co.nz.

Please forward this email to your friends and tell your friends about me. If you're a Facebook user, I would also like to invite you to 'Like' me on Facebook and comment on my Facebook updates. This way we can spread the message even more effectively.

Now more than ever it is important that I am allowed to continue the work I have started to do, ensuring that the environment is always at the heart of decision making at the regional council.

Nominations have closed and there will be a battle for places.

Personally I would love to have more support around the council table.

It is a postal vote, with voting papers coming out during the week of 17 September, and polling day 9 October.

I hope that we have a really good turnout this election.
