$40,000 Student Flat Giveaway Winners
The five lucky students who won the free five bedroom apartment for a year at the Ilam Apartments part of UC Accommodation Student Village have received the keys to their flat.
The ‘flat boss’ is Jacob Brown a first year student from Gisborne. His flatmates are, Luke Clark, William Johnston (from New Plymouth), Isabelle Brown-Bayliss (from the Kapiti Coast)and Nicole Smith (from Christchurch).
All five are 18 year old first year students at the Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology. Luke is a Design student and the other four are studying Broadcast Communications. The students currently flat together with their flat goldfish, Arizona, and profess that Stewart Island is a myth.
“I am very proud to welcome these fine students to UC Accommodation Student Village”, said Darel Hall General Manager. “While most of our student residents are from the University of Canterbury we have students from several Polytechnics and high quality Private Training Establishments”, he said.
“The energy, fun and commitment to learning of Jacob and his flat mates shows they will fit into and add a lot to our Ilam Apartments community”, said Darel Hall.
