Policy Statement: rebuilding the City |
||
The Christchurch Civic Trust publicly states its policy for rebuilding the City after the September 4 earthquake.
1 The Trust believes that as a result of the loss of suburban homes there is a clear opportunity to invest in well designed housing as part of the plan to revitalise the inner city,
2 The Trust wants all endeavours to be made to retain all listed heritage buildings, and the many contributing character buildings damaged by this event.
3 The Trust supports democratic and inclusive processes which respect the citizens of Christchurch in the rebuilding program.
