Be the Toast of the Office - Take Your Team to the Races This Christmas

On December 8th, while most of Auckland is rushing through the streets under the stresses of the season, those in the know will be at Ellerslie sipping champagne in the sun, at the hottest Christmas party in the super city.

With an entertainment line up to match the pace of the silly season, Ellerslie’s Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Series is now an institution on the Auckland social calendar and the best place to be naughty, or nice this festive season.

So wink at the boss, whisper sweet nothings to the social club manager, bunk off work or drag the whole office down, but do whatever you can to get to Ellerslie this Christmas.

The Barfoot & Thompson Twilight Summer Series is the only social event of its kind in Auckland. With a late afternoon starting time, featuring six races across three hours and a party under the setting sun, its perfect elixir for a stressful year.

The action on the track doesn’t let up with New Zealand’s finest thoroughbred talent thundering down the home straight every half hour. Trackside it’s just as hot, Ellerslie’s resident DJ setting the scene for a party atmosphere which cranks up in pace once the horses have gone to bed.

Punters can resort to dark arts when choosing their bets this Christmas at Ellerslie, with the return of the Dark Horse. Back the jockey wearing black to win and the stakes go up, with Ellerslie dishing out an extra 10% of festive funds if the dark horse comes in.

Ticket packages are available for a range of hospitality options. If it’s champagne and sophistication you crave, or relaxing with a beer in the sun, Ellerslie offers the one Christmas experience not to miss, this summer in Auckland.
