In changes to the Hell Wellington Firebirds squad that met the Northern Knights on Sunday, Dewayne Bowden, Travis Birt, Mark Cleary and Michael Pollard drop out and Grant Elliott, James Franklin, Andrew Lamb and Brett Lee come in.

New Zealand Cricket contracted players Grant Elliott and James Franklin return to the side after playing for the BLACKCAPS in their recent series in India.

A third New Zealand One-Day player, Andy McKay, hasn’t been released by New Zealand Cricket for this game.

Travis Birt and Mark Cleary have both returned to Australia after playing in the last two matches.

Luke Wright is out of action for a week following an operation on Saturday to remove an abscess in an infected leg.

Michael Pollard has been ruled out of this match with a shoulder injury that he sustained whilst fielding for the Firebirds in Sunday’s match against the Northern Knights.

Mark Gillespie, Leighton Burtt (both injured) and Malesaili Tugaga (disciplinary reasons) were also not considered for selection.
