Hindu way of Stress Management

Press Release (23 May 2011)

Hindu way of Stress Management
Stress Management Workshops in Auckland and Wellington: Managing stress the stress-free way of Hindu culture.

In today’s fast track world, along side of technology, unfortunately STRESS has also become an integral part of our life. Stress is now the single major cause for many health hazards –increase in cholesterol levels, heart diseases, obesity, diabetes, irritability, severe psychosis and sleeping disorders to name a few.

Stress is no longer age related; it affects children and adults, weak and outwardly physically strong, and those with or without symptoms of other diseases. The sad part is that unmanaged stress can change the life of anyone.

AROGYA, Aotearoa Research Organisation for Generic Yoga and Ayurveda, the health division of Hindu Council New Zealand, is promoting the time tested and scientifically researched methods of managing stress through practice of Yoga. AROGYA is organising a hands on one day workshop in Wellington on 11th of June and in Auckland on 18th June, 2011. Yoga practices have been an integral part of Hindu Dharma and Culture.

The workshop on Stress Management of Excessive Tension (SMET) will be conducted by two experts, Mr. T. Mohan and Mrs. Subhadra. They will be visiting from S-VYASA University in India. The S-VYASA University has been conducting scientific research in the area of positive and ameliorating physical and mental effects of Yoga and Pranayama techniques, and disseminating the findings through medical and scientific journals and conferences. The papers that are published are indexed in various medical research databases like Medline.
