Fatal Vehicle crash

Vehicle crash Brougham St Christchurch.
UPDATE.

This crash involved a car and a petrol tanker. The driver of the vehicle has since died as a result of injuries sustained from the crash. The drivers details will not be released until next of kin have been advised.

The tanker driver received minor injuries.

Brougham St will be closed for several hours between Barrington St and Antigua St.. A number of power poles and traffic light standards have been damaged. A detour is in place and clearly signposted.

As Brougham St is a major arterial road through Christchurch and to the port of Lyttelton there will be delays for traffic. All motorists are advised to use alternate routes and expect some delays if travelling through the area.
