to the wreck

A
total of 1006 tonnes of oil waste has now been
removed.
Salvage
Salvors have been
on-board bow section assessing state of containers.
38
bags of milk powder de-vanned (removed) from a container
have been removed by helicopter.
Smit Borneo is along
side the bow section of the wreck and salvors are hoping to
start container removal from the bow
Divers have nearly
completed their assessment of the aft section. This
information will help with planning of how to remove the
wreck.
Wildlife
Today two grey-faced
petrel will be released at sea. A small number of penguins
will also be released.
