Armed Robbery: Caltex Service Station
At
about 2.50am on the morning of Friday 3 February 2012, a
night shift worker at the Caltex Service Station in
Kawakawa, Northland was the victim of an armed robbery.
At least three offenders were present when a firearm was presented at the lone service station attendant.
A silver station wagon has then been used by the offenders to reverse into the building to dislodge the ATM machine from the wall.
The ATM has then been placed into the vehicle and driven away by the offenders.
A burning vehicle has subsequently been located on Pipiwai Road near Kaikou which Police believe was the vehicle involved in this robbery.
The offenders have left the scene of the burning vehicle in another, unknown vehicle.
