Love In The Air For Two Lotto Winners

Media Release 11 February 2012

Love In The Air For Two Lotto Winners

Love will be in the air for two winners in the South Island, not because of Valentine’s Day, but because they’ve each just won a $1 million share of Lotto First Division following this evening’s draw, says NZ Lotteries’ Acting Chief Executive, Warren Salisbury.

“The hiked up cost of roses will be no obstacle for these lucky winners this Valentine’s Day – they’ll even have some winnings left to shout their loved ones to a fancy meal!” jokes Mr Salisbury.

The winning tickets were sold at Greymouth New World and Addington Price Cutter & Lotto in Christchurch.

Meanwhile, Lotto Powerball jackpotted, meaning it will be an estimated $10 million next week.

Strike Four was not struck and jackpots to an estimated huge $1.2 million next week.

Meanwhile, Julie from Pukekohe spun and won $100,000 on the Winning Wheel at the live draw in Wellington this evening.

Tonight’s Winning Wheel ticket was purchased at New Brighton, Christchurch. The serial number is 355-52535301-20xx.

“Anyone who bought their ticket from any of the above winning stores should write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet."

All Lotto players are automatically in the draw to win the opportunity to spin Lotto’s Winning Wheel, regardless of the type of ticket they buy.
