Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident
Kapiti Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident that occurred on State Highway One, Paekakariki at 9.45pm last night.
Detective Sergeant James McKAY of the Kapiti Police says, "Two vehicles collided head on between the Beach Road intersection and the Whareroa Road on ramp.
A 28 year old female from Lower Hutt in a southbound vehicle was killed and the 50 year old driver of the vehicle, also from Lower Hutt is in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital.
A 22 year old Kapiti man, the driver of a Northbound green Toyota Camry station wagon is also in a serious condition in Wellington Hospital".
Detective Sergeant James McKAY of the Kapiti Police says "Police have spoken to a number of witnesses, but are still appealing to any persons who may have seen the crash or the actions of the green Toyota Camry station wagon around the Paekakariki area shortly before the crash".
