43 arrests
have been made by Police as a result of protest activity in
down town Auckland this afternoon.
The activity included
a sit down protest on Symonds Street in the central business
district soon after 3pm necessitating traffic diversions to
ensure the safety of the protesters and alternate vehicle
access for motorists.
The road was cleared and opened by
5pm.
