Harold’s Big Day Out Returns for Tenth Year

Harold’s Big Day Out, the annual free family event held by the Life Education Trust, will take place on Saturday 29 September at the Auckland Ellerslie Racecourse from 12pm.

Now in its tenth year, Harold’s Big Day out offers a free and fun-filled afternoon for the whole family during the Life Education Trust Race Day.

Harold’s Big Day Out will keep the kids entertained for hours with popular attractions including the Sizzler, Vertical Bungy, Inflatable Obstacle Course, Giant Pink Panther Slide, Mini Jeeps, and many more fun activities for children of all ages.

Each year, Harold, the popular giraffe mascot for the Life Education Trust, visits 225,000 primary and intermediate school children throughout the country. There he helps children learn about health and wellbeing and encourages them to make healthy choices and develop positive self-esteem.

“Harold’s Big Day Out is a fantastic family event and we are thrilled with how much it has grown in the last ten years,” says Lance Hutchison, chairman of Auckland Central Trust and Life Education Trust. “It’s great to be able to offer Auckland families an afternoon of free entertainment, and at the same time raise awareness for Harold and the important messages he delivers to our kids.”

With free car parking available, be sure to pack a picnic basket and join Harold and his friends for an afternoon of family fun. For more information on Harold and his Big Day Out visit www.harold.co.nz.
