Put a Spring in your Step with Springtime Escape

Put a Spring in your Step with Springtime Escape

6 November, 2012

Bay of Many Coves is celebrating spring with a special Springtime Escape.

The five star resort, based in the heart of Marlborough Sounds, is offering an exclusive package during November which will enable guests to experience native New Zealand birdlife at its very best, along with Bay of Many Coves’ world class accommodation, superb cuisine and luxury surroundings.

Guests will wake up every morning to Bay of Many Coves’ famous dawn chorus of native birds. They will also have the opportunity to sight a wide range of rare native birds in their pristine natural environment, including Wekas, Little Blue Penguins, Saddlebacks, Stitchbirds and Kingfishers. As a special springtime treat, Kereru and Tui will be resplendent in their courting colours.

Across the Bay in which the Resort is located guests will find three Cormorant breeding colonies. Easily accessible by kayak or dinghy, these birds provide special entertainment in spring, when the young birds are learning to fly, swim and fish.

A trip to nearby Motuara Island will reward guests with a glorious cross section of New Zealand birdlife, while further on they can experience the only King Cormorant breeding colony in the world.

Bay of Many Coves is giving Springtime Escape guests the opportunity to go into a draw to win one night’s free accommodation on a future visit, by providing the resort with a photograph of one of its native birds taken during their stay.

“Spring is a magical time at Bay of Many Coves and we are pleased to celebrate it with our special Springtime Escape. Guests will feel re-energised, totally pampered and ready to enjoy the festive time ahead,” says Bay of Many Coves Co-Owner, Murray McCaw.

In addition to bird watching as part of the Springtime Escape, guests can also experience a range of other activities on offer at Bay of Many Coves, including swimming with dolphins, kayaking, motor yacht cruising, glow worms, bush walking, spa treatments and wine tours.
