New Manager for Lifeline Northland

Media release from Lifeline Auckland
New Manager for Lifeline Northland

Liz Cassidy Nelson is the newly appointed Regional Manager of Lifeline Aotearoa – Northland. Formerly the director and principal consultant of Aria Management, Liz has considerable experience in leadership roles in the health and social services, and is excited by the challenges and opportunities which come with being the first full-time Manager of the Whangarei-based service.

“Lifeline is a well-known and respected community organisation and I’m excited to be part of developing and expanding the services we offer to the Northland community, in addition to our 24/7 helpline” said Ms Nelson.

Lifeline Aotearoa – Northland has been created as a result of a merger between Lifeline Whangarei and Lifeline Aotearoa. The service currently offers the volunteer Lifeline 24/7 helpline, and is working towards reopening the face to face counselling unit and provision of suicide prevention education throughout the region.

Dave Bell, former Chairperson of Lifeline Whangarei said “the board are pleased to have a person of Liz’s calibre appointed to the role. Under Liz’s leadership we look forward to working more closely with the wider community and providing services that meet their needs”.
