Auckland: Man charged in Panmure homicide

Auckland: Man charged in Panmure homicide

Police investigating the homicide of 27 year-old Nathan Albert have arrested a 38 year-old Panmure man who will appear in the Auckland District Court today charged with Crimes Act Assault.

Mr Albert died after being stabbed in Pilkington Rd, Panmure shortly after 4am on New Year's Day.

Detective Inspector Mark Benefield says the 38 year-old accused presented himself to Police yesterday. More serious charges may be laid as the investigation progresses.

No weapon has been recovered and police still want to hear from anyone who has information about where it may be.
