Full Closure of State Highway 16 East and West bound
– Te Atatu to Lincoln Road
The NZ Transport Agency
advises drivers that a section of Auckland’s Northwestern
Motorway (State Highway 16) will be closed tonight Monday, 7
January, between the Te Atatu and Lincoln Road interchanges
(including on and off-ramps) so that damaged safety barriers
can be repaired after a serious crash this morning.
To minimise disruption to drivers, the NZTA will carry out repairs between 9pm and 5am.
The NZTA will have detours in place and drivers are asked to follow the signposted routes while work is carried out to ensure that this section of the motorway is safe.
