Full description:
Emergency services are currently attending a 1 car crash in the Cromwell Gorge between Cromwell and Alexandra.
The crash occurred at about 4.50pm.
Two people have been injured and the road is closed while ambulance staff treat them before being taken to hospital.

It is hoped to have the road partially open at about 1830 Hrs.
Two helicopters are to be used to transport the injured.

The two injured are Males, believed to be overseas tourists. Their injuries are being treated as serious.
There is no indication at this stage as to the cause of the crash.
