Fatal Workplace Incident in Wellington
At approximately 00:30am this morning, Emergency services were called to a workplace incident on the wharf at Wellington.
A 47yr old male, was killed when he was caught between a forklift and cargo during a warehouse packing operation.
The male is a father of three and has been working for the Ports for the past nine years.
CenrePort, Police and the Dept of Labour are investigating the incident.
The male will not be named until the next of kin have been spoken to.
