Arrest after Christchurch homicide overnight
A woman has been arrested for murder following an incident in the Christchurch suburb of St Albans overnight.
Police were called to a residential address in Edgeware Road at approximately 3.00am this morning [Sunday 10 February].
Officers found the body of a 48-year old male inside the house at the address. A woman and a teenager were also present at the address.
The woman, aged 44, has been arrested and charged with murder. She will appear at the Christchurch District Court tomorrow.
Detective Inspector Virginia Le Bas says Police are investigating what has led up to this incident and a forensic scene examination at the property has commenced this morning.
The name of the victim will be released once Police have completed notification of next of kin.
