The
Great British Car Rally will be in your town this Sunday
morning. Over 210 classic and modern cars and their drivers
will arrive at the Auckland Domain from 9am to celebrate the
start of their week long journey to Christchurch.
The cars will be on display on the roads leading up to
the Grandstand. Councillor Sir John Walker will host a civic
send off including a British Morning Tea with the cars being
sent off in style at 12pm.
Captain Starship will be
there to help with the celebrations.
A travelling
Trade and Investment Road show will also be held at the
Domain.
The car rally is raising money for the
Starship Foundation, Save the Children, the Christchurch
City Mission and Canterbury’s Stepping Stone Trust.
