Two Women Arrested In Murder Inquiry
Two Gisborne
females aged 24 and 25 years of aged have been arrested and
charged with the murder of Amandeep SINGH who was initially
reported missing on the 1st of January 2013.
The body of Mr SINGH was located in the Kaiti Beach area on the 24th of January 2013 but it is believed that he died on the night of the 29th of December 2012.
Mr SINGH was an Indian National who immigrated to New Zealand in 2010 where he has worked as a field worker in various locations around the central North Island.
Mr SINGH has a wife in Tauranga and has family in India.
His immediate family have been advised of the arrests and they have expressed gratitude to the investigation team for their efforts.
The arrested persons have been remanded in custody until Friday the 15th of March where an application for bail will be made.
