Male assaulted in his home
A 27 year old male is in Hutt Hospital after being attacked by two males in his home in Clouston Park Road, Upper Hutt today.
At around 4.30pm today, the two males arrived at the victim's house and have entered the house. After confronting the victim, the offenders have set about beating the victim with the two iron bars.
The offenders have then got in their car and driven off but were stopped by a police patrol nearby and arrested.
The victim was transported to Hutt Hospital in a stable condition with a suspected broken arm and bruising to his body.
Two males aged 24 and 30 have been charged with Assault with intent to injure and will be appearing in the Lower Hutt District Court tomorrow. More serious charges may be laid once all witnesses have been spoken to.
The Hutt Valley CIB are investigating this incident and will be speaking to witnesses tonight and tomorrow.
