STATEMENT March 20, 2013
Two unemployed Auckland residents, a 23 year-old man and a 30 year-old woman, will appear in the Manukau District Court today charged with Importing and Possession of a Class A drug (Methamphetamine) for supply.
Their arrests in central Auckland during the early hours of this morning came about after joint OFCANZ and New Zealand Customs investigation over the past few days. The investigation commenced last Friday evening when a 25 year old man arrived in New Zealand on an Emirates Flight from Dubai.
The passenger was located in possession of one (1) kilogram of Methamphetamine concealed within his suitcase. The flight originated out of Mexico flew via Dubai before arriving in New Zealand.
