Waitakere Police investigating yesterday's attempted aggravated robbery outside the Korner Bar
Waitakere Police are investigating the attempted aggravated robbery of an Armourguard van which occurred at 10am on Wednesday 20 March 2013 outside The Korner Bar, situated at the Kelston Shopping Centre.
Two armed offenders presented a pistol and single barrelled sawn off shot gun at the security guard who was returning to his van.
The security guard managed to secure himself inside the van before the offenders reached him. They attempted to gain entry to the van but were unsuccessful.
A getaway vehicle, which was being driven by a third person, was used, which was a Black Subaru Forrester REG: FYA372. This vehicle was later recovered by Police parked on Clayburn Road, Glen Eden.
Police have obtained good CCTV images of the offenders in their clothing.
Offender 1 is described as wearing:

Red stadium jacket with white sleeves with logos on the
front left breast and right sleeve
• Black
balaclava
• Grey gloves
• Carrying a sawn
off single barrelled shot gun with a wooden stock
Offender
2 is described as wearing:
• Black hooded
jacket
• Black gloves
• Black pistol
•
Black balaclava
